Easy DIY Enamel Pin Display

One of my favorite ways to display enamel pins is a fun wall hanging display so let's make the easiest DIY enamel pin display board ever!

Easy DIY Enamel Pin Display Board

I've gotten several messages and comments in the past from people saying that they love my pins but they just don't think they can see themselves wearing pins - and that's totally okay! You don't have to wear enamel pins. In fact, I may be wrong but I don't think most people who buy my pins actually wear them on their shirts or jackets but rather wear them on bags, lanyards, or displayed on pin boards. Part of the fun of enamel pins is finding fun and unique ways to display your pins. If you're an avid collector, you can create several displays around multiple different themes!

DIY Enamel Pin Displays are so easy to make and you can customize them however you want! Create fun themes with different printed fabrics and pin groupings!

Here is how you can make a board like mine:

What you will need to make your DIY Pin Display:

  • Any picture frame similar to mine with a chunky 1/2" tall frame that can hold a foam board. (Mine was $2.99 from Goodwill so make sure to check out your local thrift stores for great, affordable frames!)
  • 1/2" thick foam board. Mine was a cork covered foam board from Michaels and is big enough to use for several pin boards. (Pro tip: If you use a cord covered foam board, don't steam the fabric once it's already on the board! The cork shrinks and I learned the hard way.)
  • Broadcloth or some sort of woven quilting fabric to cover the foam board in a fun print to match the theme of the pins you want to use - fabric is optional but recommended for clean edges.
  • Stapler & staples
  • Scissors
  • X-acto or precision knife
  • Pins!
